A bouclé jacket has long been a staple in chic French women's wardrobe. Why, you may ask? Well, it's simple really. A bouclé or a tweed jacket à la Chanel is an essential piece due to its versatility and timelessness. And let's not forget about its beauty. It looks fantastic on, you can wear it with so many other things and it makes your style look raffiné. You can wear it with casual as well as elevated pieces. This little jacket never goes out of style. The classic style of the tweed or bouclé jacket is a jewel neckline, but the short blazer style with lapels is also popular. You can also find these jackets in every colour and in the popular houndstooth print. Many chic and elegant women have a prized black bouclé jacket in their closet. They've probably had it forever. Which style and colour do you have? Whether you already have one of these prized bouclé jackets or if you are planning to get one, scroll below for various colours, outfit ideas and where to get items shown (the links are affiliate links). 1 - Black Bouclé JacketBlack is the most popular colour in this style. By the way, in case you are wondering what the French word 'bouclé' means, it refers to the texture of the fabric, which forms loops and curls: 'curl' = 'boucle' in French). I just bought a brown boucle jacket at a thrift store for $5! Would have liked it in a different color, but I'll make it work.

I've always loved bouclé, Marie-Anne. I've owned bouclé cranberry coat and a yellow jacket. I saw in the store windows while visiting Paris in October. I don't need anything, but I want bouclé, maybe a jacket.
