Do you have a need to be perfect all the time?
And is this need to be perfect stopping you from taking action and succeeding at anything?
I wanted to be perfect all the time. Yes, of course I did!
Do you think like this? If I am perfect, I can apply for this job or go for this exciting promotion. I can do this, I can do that. BUT I'm not perfect! So I'm not going to make any effort to go towards my goals? This desire to be perfect stopped me from doing many things. Until one day, when I started writing my first book How to be Chic and Elegant. And you know, this book, my very first book, was not perfect. It's still not perfect, but it became a bestseller on Amazon in its categories. How about that? The truth is, if I had stopped myself from clicking on the Publish button, do you know what would have happened? Nothing! Nothing would have happened! My book would not have got published. All these tens of thousands of women who have been helped by that book would not have been. I wouldn't have received so many of these great comments and reviews, which encouraged me to write more books, which helped them some more and which helped me become the woman I am today. I am very much changed. But I took the first step. I clicked on the Publish button. And stopped that need to be perfect. Wanting to be perfect at all times stops you from going for your goals, for your dreams that you have for yourself. For instance, look at the videos I've been recording and posting recently. They are not perfect. They are ad-lib and unedited (English is my second language so please forgive my less-than-perfect speech). I make many mistakes throughout them. There are various noises and sounds you can hear in the background. But you know? I think these adds to the general look and feel of these videos, don't you think? These videos are not perfect. I am not perfect. But it's ok. People don't mind. People don't expect you to be perfect. And once you're ok with that, you can achieve so much more, you can go for that promotion, you can apply for that job, you can do so much more. Does this make sense to you? So, if you want to stop this desire to be perfect at all times, that desire that stops you from improving yourself, from living your life to the full, please subscribe to my newsletter or send me a me a message and ask me how I can help you.
