Many people write to me and the most often asked question is "what can I do to improve my style the quickest?"
Other than actually wanting to change you need to have a plan. You have to know exactly what it is you want to achieve. If you aren't planning where your style is going you are doomed to failure. No amount of staring vacantly at YouTube videos is going to help you - no matter which brilliant stylist you are watching (even me) - if you aren't active on your style journey and heading in the right direction.
But, which is the right direction? Which way should you be heading?
It's down to you.
No, that isn't a cop out by me. It is me making you step up to the plate. It is me making you decide for yourself. It is me saying to you - you can't just sit there and let style videos wash over you without you doing some thinking and taking action.
Just watching is not helping. I can help - and I have. I have helped thousands of women to improve their style - but each one has had to step up. Each one has had to do the groundwork. Everyone of them committed. Everyone of them said "Yes. I want to change." Each one of the them accepted their own Style Challenge.
If you challenge yourself, if you step up, I give you my guarantee - I will be fully behind you. I will meet you more than half way. Anyone who works with me will testify to my full commitment to helping you become the best version of you that you can be. No ifs, no buts. You put in that work and I will be with you every style step of the way.
So are you up for your own 2021 Style Challenge?
The best way I know to find your direction and set your challenges is by journaling. You can find out all about it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T-focA7cU5k
So let me know your Style Challenge for 2021 - I can point you in the right direction.
Make 2021 - The Year of Change for YOU.
A bientôt

In my latest video here https://youtu.be/jBUSdqI60u4 I allow my creative side to come out and read to you a wonderful poem "Il Pleure Dans Mon Coeur" by one of France's foremost poets Paul Verlaine. The video was shot locally and the music, "Allégro" is by Emmit Fenn.
I have often said that French Style can not be separated from its language or its culture - by introducing a little of both I hope you will understand French Style a little more and allow me to be your French Chic Style Guide.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of my viewers, readers, students and clients a very Merry Christmas.
2020 has been a challenging year for everyone. We have all been touched by world events and coped in our own ways. The world has changed. We have changed. How these changes will affect us and our loved ones over the next few years remains to be seen.
I firmly believe that the world needs style now more than ever. A style not just of look and garment but a style of courage and of fortitude. A style of the soul and of the mind. A style of substance and of elegance. A style that comes from the heart of each one of us. Whatever happens, style remains.
I will continue to do what I love, which is to spread the word of style and elegance as practiced by we French Women here in France and this French Woman in particular. I hope that this will touch those it reaches in the way that is best for them to enrich their lives.
There are some exciting things ahead in 2021. Most immediately I have a collaboration with the lovely Brianna Lamberson scheduled for release on Monday 28 December so please look out for this video and give Brianna a very big French Chic Welcome, pop over to her channel on Youtube and say hello from me.
Early in the New Year I hope to have some exciting news which has the potential to help each and every one of you in an amazing way. Please keep your fingers crossed for me and stay tuned for announcements coming soon.
I would also like to thank each and everyone of you for supporting me throughout this past year. Without your wonderful support, I would not be able to do what I do best, which is to help with your style.
Please stay safe and well. Have a blessed Christmas with your loved ones and I hope that 2021 will bring you and those you love all that you would wish for yourselves,
Joyeux Noël à tous!
Best Wishes

I like Victoria - I really do. For sheer hard work and dogged reinvention she is an inspiration.
I am not a fan however of her "petrol pump" chic that debuted recently with creations that looked like they were to be worn solely by women that don't even have to pump their own gas. And I am afraid her latest home furnishing line looks a little too "Rothko" for me.
I am a great admirer of, who I see as the greatest of the American Expressionists, far more emotionally engaging than Pollock and much more genuine than Newman.
Rothko's work inspires many and it seems to me that Victoria has created mini Rothkos albeit in mohair and wool for her blankets, cushions and scarves.
What do you think? I'd love to know.

What a festive treat you are in for if you manage to venture down La Rue Cambon this Christmas. Chanel's Paris Headquarters have been decked out in the most amazingly festive style.
Each element of the giant CC logo has been created to realise a different part of its glorious heritage over the years.
The Camelia - beloved of Coco Chanel herself and designed by La Maison Lemarié
The Chanel No5 bottle first created in 1921
The Comet the logo of Coco Chanel's diamond collection "Haute Joaillerie"
The Tweed Check - beloved fabric of some of Coco Chanel's most distinctive creations since the 1920s
Well done Chanel - a most stylish Christmas jewel to make Paris sparkle this Christmas.

Bonjour
Last February Daniel Lee of Italian shoe brand Bottega Veneta declared this season, Autumn Winter 2020, to be the Year of the Wellie! After the success of his Biker Boots and micro Sac, "The Pouch", who are we to deny the humble Wellington its turn in the spotlight.
We French have always had a love affair with things nautical. You will often see sailing and non-sailing folk alike tramping the quays of Normandie and Bretagne in their blue and white Aigle. The Brits, of course, have their Hunters. So the Italians have now given us the aptly named, The Puddle.
The Puddle comes splashing in in a variety of colours; but, at €490 a pair these are seriously high end, although low ankled.
If you are tempted check them out here https://go.magik.ly/ml/13jb6/
There is plenty of inspiration out there in Influencer land for outfit ideas as everyone jumps in the Puddle trend.
How would you style yours? Let me know or, better still, send me a photo of you in your favourite Wellies
Happy Splashing

A new digital and immersive exhibition in the Carrières de Lumières will present Cézanne’s most significant works starting 7 January 2021 in LES BAUX-DE-PROVENCE, Provence.
Cézanne was self taught but is now considered the pioneer of modernism. He abandoned studio work to work outdoors shifting towards Impressionism. His use of colour and abstraction led him to go beyond Impressionism influencing Cubists, Fauves, and avant-garde painters alike.
There is a sincerity to his art that delivers his passion direct to you the viewer.
For me, this is how your style should be: sincere, passionate and deeply personal. It is what I try to impart into every student and every client. The world does not need another KK or even another Cézanne. What is sorely needs is YOU - sincere, passionate and deeply personal about your own style.
Let me know what you think.
