Pâte Brisée (or Shortcut Pastry) - My baking dish is 12in across
200g Smoked Lardons (or Smoked Bacon)
2 Tablespoons of Milk
3 Full Tablespoons of Crème Fraîche (Cream)
50 to 70g Grated Gruyère (or Cheddar)
A Sprinkle of Grated Nutmeg
Bake at 180C or 200C (356F or 390F) for 20-25 min (depending on ovens).
You can use: puff pastry instead of shortcut; or diced ham instead of the smoked lardons.
